Delaney and the word that chilled me
“I am not going to lie; I uninstalled this app along with other ghost detecting apps after an incident which happened the day I downloaded it. This is what happened: I installed this app this morning after I had watched a few ghost detecting videos on YouTube. I thought I would try to talk to some spirits in my house because I know there are some here. So I opened the app and started listening and reading, etc. After about a minute a word came up, it was a name, the name was Delaney. I have wanted to name my daughter Delaney (spelt exactly the way it came up) since I was like 10 (now 15). I had only ever discussed this once with my friend and never discussed it since or to anyone else. You thought that was weird? Listen to this. After this I left it on and started asking questions like, who is Delaney? What do you know about her? And something came up that chilled me to my core. What came up was, "all the pain". Shocked, I asked, who is in pain? What pain? The next word that came up was, "hot". I freaked out knowing that 5 years ago my Pop was killed in a truck accident, the day after my 10th birthday. Long story short, he had to slam on his brakes quickly, he rolled down an embankment and caught on fire. After reading these words you could probably guess how I was feeling. Then a few more names came up: Wesley, followed by Corey, then Miles and finally Vanessa. Now, none of these names really stuck out to me other than the fact that they all had A's in them, but that doesn't really mean anything that significant to me. But when my mum and I decided that was enough was when the word "screeching" came up. I flipped out. All the pain, hot and screeching absolutely freaked the heck out of me (I am not scared now, more sad). Nobody else would've known Delaney was my daughter's name. Pain, hot and screeching!!! I truly, truly believe that I was talking to my late Pop. However, it also may not have been, because after doing some research I found out that usually (usually) spirits and ghosts who mean well will not do anything to show you that they are there if they think or know it may scare you. However, I did say multiple times during this process, "I will be fine. Just please talk to me". That is why I uninstalled it, because it scared me. I am not scared now, as I said, but at the time and at this stage I don't want to communicate at this level with whatever or whoever was talking to me today.”
